Funding

QTraining Directors will do their very best to help employers find and access appropriate funding.

The following sources of funding may be available:

Train To Gain

This comes from the government through the Skills Funding agency

It supports Level 2 qualifications, and sometimes Level 3.  This means that many QCF qualifications can be delivered at no cost to an employer.

Others will need an employer contribution. (contact us for more details if learners already have a level 2)

Please note TTG eligibility rules for the candidates:

  • MUST be an EU resident or have been in the UK for last 3 years or more.
  • MUST be at least 19 years of age
  • MUST NOT have an existing qualifications at Level 2 or above (e.g. 5 GCSEs above C grade and higher)

Train to Gain funding also helps with developing skills and gaining qualifications for:

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy

Apprenticeships

These are funded by the government through the Skills Funding Agency.
We try to offer as much as possible in the workplace, but may need attendance at a Centre for 3-4 days for Key Skill workshops and exams.

They are available to:

  • any leaner working full time
  • any learner who does not have a degree

We can help employer recruit apprentices – who can be paid apprenticeship wages for their first year before they become competent.

Foundation Apprenticeship Health and Social Care has 3 components:

  • Health and Social Care Diploma Level 2
  • A Care Certificate Level 2
  • Key skills in Application of Number and Communication @ Level 1

Advanced Apprenticeship Health and Social Care has 3 components:

  • Health and Social Care Diploma Level 3
  • A Care Certificate Level 3
  • Key skills in Application of Number and Communication @ Level 2

Foundation Apprenticeship Hospitality has 3 components:

  • Hospitality Diploma Level 2
  • Hospitality Certificate Level 2
  • Key skills in Application of Number and Communication @ Level 1

QTraining is a member of Two Training Consortia to access Skills Funding Agency for Train To Gain and Apprenticeships funding.
